This is the home page for the PTA of Centennial Lane Elementary School in Ellicott City, MD. The PTA is a group of parents and teachers who volunteer their time to provide academic, social, and cultural enrichment to each student at CLES throughout the school year.

Spring Fair

Our biggest fundraiser of the year is coming: SPRING FAIR! Click on the banner above for more information. Keep in mind some important dates:

  1. Fair Fridays: Starting May 10th have your child wear red for a chance to win prizes. If your child wears red they will be entered to win a prize at lunch, including a chance for the grand prize of a Spring Fair Wristband. Fair Fridays are May 10th, May 17th, May 24th and May 31st. (All 5th grade students participating in SCH on May 31st will receive a ticket and do not need to wear red that day.)
  2. Preview Night: May 31st 6:30pm-8:00pm. Come see what our amazing Silent Auction committee has gotten this year, receive a number and start bidding! There will also be a DJ and free popsicles for the kids. You will be able to pick up your pre-ordered tickets as well! This is a FREE fun event for the family.

PTA Meetings

DEI will be meeting on Thursday, May 2, at 7pm in the CLES Kindergarten wing. The next PTA meeting will be on Tuesday, May 7, at 7 pm in the CLES Cafeteria. All are welcome to attend! All PTA members who have paid dues can vote at this meeting.

Stuff the Bus

During the week of May 13th-17th the CLES PTA will be holding a school supply drive to collect school supplies for students in Howard County. This drive is done in conjunction with the PPW’s of Howard County as well as the local organization Prepare for Success. Items needed include backpacks, marble composition books, pocket folders, single subject spirals wide rule, wide rule loose leaf filler paper, 1 1/2” - 2” 3-ring binders, dividers, colored pencils, crayons, colored markers, highlighters, pencils, glue sticks, blunt scissors, pencil bags, erasers and rulers. All items must be brand new. Look for the school bus box in the front lobby of the school during the week of the drive. Watch your child's backpack for more information. Family Bingo Night

Join your friends and family for a fun and free night of Bingo on Friday, May 3rd starting at 6:30pm in the CLES Cafeteria. Students take turns calling the numbers (by grade) and prizes are awarded for winning cards. This event is for all ages!

Restaurant Night

The next Restaurant Night will take place on Wednesday, May 15, at Yogi Castle. Stop by anytime between 3pm - 9:30pm and make sure to let them know you are with CLES. A portion of the night's proceedings will go to the PTA.

Clean Up Day

The CLES Green Committee invites you to celebrate Earth Day by cleaning up the conservation landscapes and campus at school. Sunday, May 19th, from 9:00am – 12:00pm; Meet at the garden behind CLES. Questions? Contact Vanessa for more information: vseybold@gmail.com
