This is the home page for the PTA of Centennial Lane Elementary School in Ellicott City, MD. The PTA is a group of parents and teachers who volunteer their time to provide academic, social, and cultural enrichment to each student at CLES throughout the school year.

PTA Meetings

The next PTA meeting will be on Tuesday, February 12, at 7 pm in the CLES Media Center. All are welcome to attend! Only the Executive Board can vote.

What Makes Me Special

The “What Makes Me Special” project was designed by the PTA to create a safe space for students to share something special about themselves that has helped shape them. Entries due by Feb 8 (entry form), Open Mic Night is on Feb 27 (information here).

World Showcase

BMMS & CLES Students and their families are invited to come celebrate the rich cultural heritage of our families and the diverse cultures that make up our community. Thursday, February 21st from 6:30 to 8:30pm at Burleigh Manor Middle School. Consider contributing a dish for the food tasting - sign-up to perform in our talent show - make a display board to teach about an area of the world you or your family comes from – donate your time to help with set-up, clean-up – volunteer during the showcase: sign up here.

Share the Lovies

Share the Lovies will take place between February 11-15. We will be collecting NEW stuffed animals and plush toys to donate to Howard County Hospital. Boxes will be in the lobby - Jen Kim (jenandgeoffkim@gmail.com) or Tracey Herzberger (tdherz@verizon.net) with any questions.

Book Fair

Get ready to "STOMP, CHOMP and READ" at the "DINO-MITE" Scholastic Book Fair! Mark your calendars for March 4th-8th and plan to visit the Book Fair, which will feature a huge selection of books and more!! All students will have the opportunity to visit the Book Fair during their media class time and there will be several Friends & Family evening events as well, for parents and friends to shop. A portion of all sales goes to purchase CLES media center books and to help fund PTA events throughout the year. More details coming soon!
