EVENTS

Serve on a Committee

Select an item to read about the role and time commitment, then contact us at volunteer@clespta.org.

  • Tasks include: write and send the monthly newsletter, post to our social media page, provide highlights for the Dolphin Detail, prepare event flyers. Works closely with president.

    Time commitment: 2-3 hours a month and can be done from home.

  • Tasks include: organize community service events/activities for CLES students and families like Gobble, Gobble Give; book drive; and coat drive.

    Would like to reinstate the sister schools program that we had Pre-Covid.

    Time commitment: 2-4 hours a month.

  • Tasks include: Represent CLES at the Howard County advisory group meetings. Attend monthly county meetings, discuss our students’ best interests with the PTA Executive Board.

    (1) CAC - Community Advisory Council

    Time commitment: 2-4 hours a month.

  • Please contact PTA leadership if you are interested in joining the planning committee for SY26-27, where we plan to host a combined CLES-BMMS International Festival in early 2027.

  • Have a passion for advocacy and want to make a difference in HCPSS? Serve as a PTA Council of Howard County delegate!

    Tasks include: Attend monthly PTACHC meeting. Bring important items to report at our monthly CLES PTA meeting.

    Time committment: 2-3 hours a month/shared responsibility.

    This role can expand if you chose to serve on a PTACHC committee.

  • Fundraising Chair (1):

    Task include: overseeing PTA fundraising compliance. Research and implement new fundraising opportunities. Servce as liasion between event chairs and PTA exec board. Works closely with president and treasurer.

    Time commitment: 1-2 hours a month.

    Passive Fundraising (1):

    Tasks include: Implementing marquee silent auction, oversees Box Tops, matching corporate donatations, Giving Tuesday, and other passive income-based committees.

    Time Commitment: 1-2 hours a month.

  • SOCIAL CHAIR

    Provides support and oversight for the our student events, listed below.

    Time committment: 1-2 hours a month

    DOLPHIN DASH (1+)

    Time Commitment: 1-4 hours/month in August September.

    TRUNK OR TREAT (1+)

    Time Commitment: 1-4 hours in October.

    WINTER DANCE (1+)

    • Event Chair
